Waxing is a tried and tested method of hair removal. It is the use of melted wax applied to the skin and removed with a fabric or paper strip, pulling the hairs out of the roots and leaving the skin smooth and hair free.
At Brazilian Waxing Company we use two different types of wax. 'The Gold Wax' is an oil based wax used for the body — especially great at removing shorter hairs whilst keeping the skin nourished and smooth. 'The Organic Wax' is specifically manufactured for our company. The ingredients are a top trade secret! We use this wax for all the intimate areas as it's so gentle on the skin.
The results of a wax can vary, dependent on the length of hair you come in with. If all of the hairs are long enough to be removed, your wax will last 4–6 weeks.
Removal of the hair from the areas that show on the outside of the bikini line — the sides and the top. A clean, tidy finish that keeps things neat without removing everything.
Removes the hair from the crack and the lips, leaving a strip or triangle of hair on the top. The most popular choice for those who want smooth where it matters most.
Removes everything completely from the entire intimate area. The full treatment — completely smooth from front to back with nothing left behind.
Let's start with length — we can wax hairs as short as half a centimetre but for optimum results, the hair will be around a centimetre long.
On the day of your treatment we politely advise our clients to take a shower on the morning of their wax and not to trim the hair.
When you arrive at the salon, we'll take care of the rest. We encourage you to contact us with any questions you may have. The most important advice we can give is to try to relax and enjoy your visit. We haven't become the North West's leading hair removal company for nothing — you're in expert hands.
After a waxing treatment, you may experience localised redness, warmth and goosebumps — this is all completely normal. Some clients also experience hives; raised white lumps that can be itchy. This is also completely normal — it's just your skin's reaction to the stress. The afterwax lotion we apply will combat all of these. You may not have any of the above reactions, which is also completely normal!
We advise you to refrain from sunbeds, hot baths or showers, perfumed products, swimming pools, fake tans, going to the gym or doing anything that may cause you to perspire excessively for up to 24 hours after your treatment.
